Tonight all I had defrosted for dinner was grass fed ground beef. I wasn’t really in the mood for a plain old burger so I decided to spice it up a bit, top it with salsa and a few pieces of goat cheese! It was a HIT everyone ate every bite!
2 lb ground beef (100% grass fed)
1 whole onion diced fine (I used purple onion because it is all I had)
2 generous tsps. of chili powder
1 generous tsp. of (Pink Salt: from Premier Research Labs- read why we use this at PRL)
1 T. organic salsa (Per burger) or homemade if you have it (fermented is best…watch for recipe to come, I just tried it and it was easy, delicious, and packed with probiotics)
2 thin slices of goat gouda or cheddar
How to do it….
Mix: beef, onion, chili powder, and salt together. Create patties of desired size. Grill patties to desired doneness on the grill. When almost fully cooked place 1 T. of organic salsa on each burger, cover the salsa with cheese, close the grill for a few minutes until cheese is completely melted. (If using fermented salsa melt cheese first, let burger sit a few minutes to cool and then add salsa, this will not destroy the probiotics in the salsa!
Enjoy! I served this with roasted veggies and roasted baby red potatoes! No bun, it didn’t even need one! If you want more fun summer time healthy and kid friendly meal ideas click on the follow button and you will get one each week!
