Home Recipes Holiday Ideas On The 5th Healthy Day of Christmas…

Peanutbutter Kisses

This is a Chrismas must!  No Christmas is complete without Peanutbutter Kisses.  I have 2 varieties for you to try.  The first is my mom’s traditional recipe with a few kicks to make it a bit healthier.  The other is a grain free alternative that is also a bit healthier!

*Remember to use organic peanut butter as it is one of the most toxic foods as they sit close to the ground and soak up the pesitcides and herbicides.

Grandma’s Recipe Gone GF/DF:

Grandma's Peanutbutter Kisses
Recipe type: Dessert
  • 1 c. Organic Raw Sugar
  • 1 c. Spectrum Non Hydrogenated Shortening
  • 2 Organic Eggs
  • ⅔ c. Organic Peanutbutter
  • Pinch of Sea Salt
  • 1 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 2 c. Bob's Red Mill All Purpose GF Flour
  • 2 tsp. GF PURE Vanilla
  1. Cream sugar, shortening, eggs, peanutbutter and vanilla to smooth. In a separate bowl put salt, soda, and flour. Slowly add dry ingredients into creamed ingredients and mix. Refrigerate for about an hour. Form into balls and place on a cookie sheet, press down slightly. Bake 350 for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and place a dark chocolate star on each cookie (I found GF ones at my co-op but they do have butter fat in them). Place in the refridgerator to set chocolate. Store in air tight container.
